Vision for St. Peter
Through his preaching and teaching, his signs and wonders, and his death and resurrection, Jesus reveals to “those who have ears to hear” that the “Kingdom of God” is at hand - not some time in the future, but here and now. We as individual followers of Jesus and the church as his community of followers are given the mission of revealing the mystery of God’s “Kingdom” to the world through our changed lives in our day-to-day living. We are truly stewards of God’s mission to change the world. Accomplishing God’s mission in the world is impossible for us without the grace of God transforming us through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Therefore, our vision as followers of Jesus at St. Peter Lutheran Church is to be used by God to reveal the hope of the Kingdom to others through acts of love in our family, workplace, community, and world. |

Imperatives for the vision of St. Peter Lutheran Church to bear fruit:
We must:
- be a community of prayer and worship.
- become an outwardly focused “Kingdom of God” movement.
- match our values to our vision.
- identify and use our gifts to further the Kingdom of God in the world.
- identify short-term and long-term results as measures of success.
- develop and implement an action plan to cast the vision to our members.
- be about God’s work in the community.
- create and foster opportunities to learn and grow in discipleship.
- keep the vision alive in the face of change.
